Mailer sent to my mom
To whomever is in charge of Ed' mailing lists;
On Saturday, I went over to see my mom, Mary-Jane, to wish her a happy birthday. She was going through her mail, which was mostly birthday cards.
We noticed that Mr. Oakley (or a member of his staff) had sent a letter endorsing Delia Jasso. It's a very nice endorsement and full of all sorts of little details that help voters make an informed decision about the people asking to represent them. Constituents like to feel that their council-member knows them and understands their needs.
The other little detail I noticed about the letter was it was addressed to “Alex & Mary-Jane”. While it's good that you got my mom's name right, I'm not sure how Dad would feel about this. Probably nothing, considering he died last September. I think there might have been something about it in the paper(s).
Anyway, it's just one of those little details. Having already read the letter at Mom's, I didn't even have to open the one waiting for me at home.
Looking forward to the election,
ME!
P.S.: I haven't forgotten about TimberCreek.
