Arlene prepares a body

Arlene looked up from her pad. “You have the customer number. Go ahead.” But, before Libby could leave, “Why three?”
“A fire,” Libby said, and started to slip down the hall. A thought paused her and made her poke her head into her mother's study again. “Mom?”
Arlene looked up again. “Yes?”
“Why don't we ever keep those in stock?” Libby asked.
“Superstition,” Arlene said.
( They still have those in the future? )
