I'd left this post (and the earlier one) unlocked so folks could read about them.
It's going to be a strangely socialized kitten. With no playmates his age, I can only hope his mom is willing to entertain him (but not in a creepy Room way). I would like to introduce the kitten to other cats, but won't be able to do that while DG is there.
I think it is a boy, from what I've seen. Libra(o) is only about three inches long right now and DG is very protective of him. She's going to get mad when I start weighing him because he'll CRY, but I am also giving her treats each time I handle him.
I can't have her spayed while she's still nursing him, and she would need time to recover afterwards anyway. Even though Mrs. K was still able to nurse for a full week after her fix, the Kittens K could take solid food by then. He won't be eating solids until about a month old and can be fixed at two pounds.
